I ordered this shirt a bit bigger because I intend to wear it over other clothes. Even so, it was an odd fit; the sleeves too long, the body/tail too short. In my opinion, as someone who has actually made a few shirts of this type, the body of a shirt should never be shorter than the sleeves. The shorter length is obvious in the pictures but, because I bought a larger size, it hangs a bit longer and I got almost the length I wanted. Had I bought this shirt to wear alone and possibly tucked in I'd have bought a smaller size and been disappointed. If the shirt is too short it won't stay tucked in and when it is tucked it won't be long enough to hide the 'line'. By shortening the body manufacturers are able to produce more shirts for less money and, of course, the fashion industry goes along with the scam and calls it a "cute" style. I'm an adult woman, I don't do cute. Cute is for girls under 12. On the other hand, I can't complain about the fabric or the construction. The fabric has a nice soft feel and I suspect after a few more washings will drape nicely. I'm not a fan of serged seams and was happy to see this shirt didn't have any. All the topstitching was nice and even. The color I ordered, spice, is beautiful.
