When I get so engrossed in work that I lose all perspective (thinking that my co-workers are monsters for making one small little comment to me or threatening to quit because my boss's voice was just a tad condescending - or even worse, ignoring the world's problems and focusing on my own private macrocosm of misery), I force myself to pull this little book off of my shelf and read a chapter or two.I usually pick a chapter or two randomly and read them - and as I sink into the content, it restores my perspective and helps to ground me back into the reality of what life is really all about. It's like God's little tool for thumping me on the head and saying, "Hey - take a break and get it together."
