I've edited my original review because these boots have actually started impressing me.The first thing I noticed was that they are a bit heavy. These are by no means steal-toe heavy, but they are heavier than most light boots.Until you break them in, they are downright painful. I felt like I was strapping bricks to my feet when I first wore these, even with gel sole inserts. The longer you wear them, however, the more comfortable they get. They were still uncomfortable two months in, but some time around six months in, you start to really like them. They're not tennis shoe comfy; or light for that matter. But they aren't terrible. Most importantly though, these shoes hold together well. I'm almost two years into these boots, and I think I'll replace them inside six months. This is on a good five miles a day of walking, though I don't do construction or anything extremely heavy for the most part.I work in a deli and am on my feet ten hours a day. The shoes are very light which is a plus. I have found myself putting in heel inserts as the insole doesn't have much padding. I was a little surprised to discover that they were not waterproof and soon realized it the first night cleaning the floor with them. I replaced a pair of steel toed Timberlands and was very happy with the weight difference as they are light as a feather and after 4 months they are just beginning to show a wear mark on the left pinky toe. I have broken a shoe lace already too. All in all a good value for the price. We fry chicken and even on greasy floors the soles stick like glue, even better than the Timberlands did!!!Just got this boot and am breaking them in. They fit 1/2 size big. I.E., If you wear an 8, order a 7.5. All people reviewing on Zappos agree. Amazon has them beat on price. I saw the reviews over there and heeded. I solidly fit an 8 and ordered a 7.5. Fit good, 8 would have been way too big.I was looking for a light weight workboot that wasn't too bulky and so far I am very happy with this boot. I use it for work around the house wearing with jeans or shorts. Not an industrial strength boot, but that's not what I was looking for. These boots are more in line with "high-top sneaker" style boots. They are a bit thin and look more like a shoe than a boot. Some my find this a plus with the added ankle support but I find this to be a drawback. The tongue is soft and will give a slight pinch at times with the laces pulled tight, it usually goes away though in short order but is another drawback for me. If you need a super light boot with minimal protection, as in you are forced to wear a boot but prefer shoes or need a super-light duty boot, these would fit the bill nicely. If you a looking for a more stiffer substantial work boot, these are not for you.Bought these for work. biggest fail is that they are not water proof. i work as an exterminator and work 8hrs a day and 5 days a week and these boots maybe lasted for 5 months and now its all falling apart where the pinky toe would be. other than that it felt great and were very light. not much ankle support and grip on roofs is ok.The seller was right on point with delivery, package, and quality of product. The boots are so comfortable on the feet after breaking them in. The grip on the soles makes every working environment safe to work; I'll definately purchase this item again and recommend it to friends. These working boots are the worst I have ever bought! First of all they are not comfortable at all, they provide no traction on any surfurace and the sole appears that it had been wiped with some kind of oily liquid which make the boot extremely slippery. They are are not slip resistant as the ad claims. The next day you wake up with sore feet almost as if you had been running barefoot all day. I should have known better buying a pair of working boots for $50, I thought about donating these boots to Goodwill but instead I'm going to throw them away because It would be like punishing someone else! In the meantime I am going to have to wear my old Sketcher working boots while I wait for my Timberland Titan's to arrive. Boy did I learn a lesson here!!These boots last me longer then any other boot i have tried in 20 years. And i typically only get 4-5 months out of my work boots. I have 9 months from these, so i purchased another pair
