The extra small is actually extra small and fits my handsI bought these gloves to protect my hands while we were removing an old cedar fence and putting up a new one. I have small hands and ordered size xsmall and they fit. The leather is soft and supple and allowed my hands to flex. I like goatskin leather because it allows me to 'feel' through the gloves, unlike heavier leather, but still gives me protection.Soft leather outside but thick uncomfortable seam inside explains my review
